Ahlena Leon Bell
We’d like to introduce our intern this year. Ahlena Leon Bell is studying social work at Capella University and completing her MSW internship at Connections Counseling PLLC. Before pursuing her master’s degree, Ahlena graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Ahlena has been working in the behavioral health field since 2009. Her experience spans well over a
decade, during which she has provided group and individual therapy to individuals dealing with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.
Ahlena’s approach is characterized by empathy and empowerment. She recognizes the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients, allowing them to feel understood and supported. She collaborates with her clients by utilizing evidence based practices that help them work through their challenges and achieve their treatment goals.
