Ahlena Leon Bell
We’d like to introduce our intern this year. Ahlena Leon Bell is studying social work at Capella University and completing her MSW internship at Connections Counseling PLLC. Before pursuing her master’s degree, Ahlena graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Ahlena says about her practice:
“I’ve worked in the behavioral health field since 2009. My experience since that time includes providing group and individual therapy to those dealing with mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders. My approach is characterized by empathy and empowerment. I recognize the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients, allowing them to feel understood and supported. I collaborate with my clients by utilizing evidence-based practices that help them work through their challenges and achieve their treatment goals.”
